Build a Website Now! Initially, my vision was to build a fun website featuring food delivered to your door. The idea came to me when I decided to order various foods I had seen on the food network . The first thing I did was get on the web and do a google search. I found things, but they were scattered everywhere. I thought, “Wouldn’t it be nice to build a website with food delivery services all in one place?” That idea is still in the making. Since the two things I love doing the most are cooking and making jewelry, I also felt a real passion for writing about handmade ethnic jewelry. I've always worked with importing and handmade ethnic jewelry and thought it would be nice to have my jewelry online, as well. I guess I'm a little like Martha Stewart. (Not personality-wise by any means. She's way more conservative than I am). I absolutely love making anything from food to jewelry to soap to thousands of other crafts. If it can be handmade, you'll find me trying to make it! So getting back to my website, I put an ad in Craig’s list, looking for someone to build a website for me, and the cost to have it done was unbelievable, but that was ok. I really wanted one! I thought it would be better to build a website easily by hiring someone, rather than doing it myself. I was so close to plunking down thousands of dollars, but I had a few concerns about someone else doing it for me. I realized that if I hire someone build a website now, how do I maintain the website on my own later? For instance, prices change, inventory changes, I even change my mind! What do I do then? Also, how would I photograph all the food. I know food photography is tricky. The website builders offered to do the photography for a “nominal” fee of $50 - $100 an hour. And they aren’t even professionals! The third problem was, “how do I publicize my website?” With all these questions running through my mind, I finally decided to "bite the bullet" and build my own website. I keyed into googl, "How to build a website." The first article I read was very informative and outlined the various methods of building a website. Within the article, "Site Build It" was mentioned along with the "Site Build It" concept, etc. Unfortunately, I often just jump into things and think later. Well, actually, I guess I really didn't totally jump into it. $299 sounded great to me compared to the thousands I was ready to plunk down for someone else's time. And I realize the $12.95 option of web-hosting sounded a lot better, but I needed instructions, etc., which all came with "Site Build It".Little did I know what great instructions and great "everything else" I was going to get with Site Build It. Ok, 5 minutes was long enough to make my decision! I decided to go for it and build a website now and all on my own. I took the plunge and am I glad I did! I have learned so much about how to build a niche website, and I continue learning every day! And believe me, I didn't even know what an SE was when I bought this, so teaching me was a major challenge. I cannot express how the cost to build a website now through SBI is worth every penny. All the steps to build a website are perfectly outlined and all the “build a website information” you need is right at your fingertips. There is a wonderful forum in which you can learn new things daily and ask questions. People in the forum are so willing to help out. Update: It has now been two months since building my website and everything that "Site Build It" has promised, they have delivered. Now, I know my website is far from perfect, and I have a long way to gom but I did this without knowing ANYTHING about how to build a website. Now I can maintain it all by myself. I'm having a good time traveling and not having to take off of work. I just bring my work with me. Can I build a website? Yes, you can. You can:Build a Niche Website!
It's a great concept. I search out under priviledged communities all over the world, buy their handcrafted jewelry and sell it on ebay. Well, guess what? I can build a website!
